Coming Soon

Soon, there will be something coming here!

(That’s what “coming soon” means.)

As for the specifics, if there are enough people interested, the following will be done, and probably in this order:

  1. Each user will have the option of adding a convention to a personal calendar, allowing you to visually organize the conventions you’re interested in, check for date overlaps, etc.
  2. Have a user-based system of estimating costs for each individual convention. Things like badge cost and hotel stay will be fairly accurate, but will also include approximations for typical food expense at that convention. You will be able to input how many adults and children would be attending to have a fairly accurate total expense. Probably won’t be able to “save” this information to your profile at this point, as it would need to auto-update over time if values changed (e.g. the hotel block for the convention is sold out, so it would automatically update to a higher price of another room).
  3. The calendar in #1 and the planner in #2 would be linked to allow you to see when the conventions will be along with their costs all on one screen. The planner would also get more options, such as the saving option in #2, event planning at particular conventions, and being able to manually customize your costs. As an example for the cost customization, if you already have a place to stay you can $0 the cost here, or if you plan on eating only outside the convention hall and not inside then that would be a lower cost as well which could be adjusted (or maybe I’ll have an option for this already).
  4. Social media sharing the calendar (without cost shown) of your planned conventions, and possibly the ability to export your calendar to other calendar services, such as those offered Microsoft, Google, Apple, etc.
