Make sure there isn’t already an entry in THE list.
Also make sure there isn’t already a forum entry in this forum.
Users are not able to directly add conventions to the list, but can request any convention that has a tabletop game component by following these 5 steps:
1) Create a new topic in this forum. You MUST name your topic the convention name ONLY (e.g. Gen Con 2016). If this website is popular, the convention list will later be expanded to cover a wide variety of conventions. But for now, if it doesn’t have a tabletop gaming component, don’t include it.
2) Copy and paste the following (always check here to see if there are updates to the format):
Convention Name: *The same name you entered as your topic*
Start Date: *YYYY/MM/DD*
End Date: *YYYY/MM/DD*
Size: *Turnstile Attendance: Micro = <1k, Small = 1k - 10k, medium = 10k - 50k, large = 50k - 125k, massive = >125k *
Turnstile Attendance Last Year: **
Unique Visitors Last Year: **
Primary Convention Focus: *For example, if the convention is about 10% tabletop games, 30% comic books, and 60% video games, you would put ‘Video Games 60%’ here (if you can’t guess the %, that’s fine, too)*
Best-Guess % Tabletop Game Focus: *For example, if the convention is about 10% tabletop games, 30% comic books, and 60% video games, you would put ‘10%’ here*
Who Should Attend: *It will be either a ‘Consumer’ convention or an ‘Industry’ convention*

3) Fill in as much as you can. It is okay if there are some entries that you leave blank. But the more you fill in, the better.
4) Post your topic.
5) IF YOU SEE A MISTAKE AFTER YOU POST, DO NOT EDIT THE POST. Go to the Change Request topic by clicking here for the proper way to do this.
And that’s it! If anyone has more information, or they see some incorrect information, they can add/change it by replying to your topic following the steps in the Change Request topic of this forum.
March 24, 2016 at 12:20 pm #89As an example, if I added a topic called Gen Con 2016, this is ALL it would say (note: the % is just a best-guess, so as long as it is close, it is fine):
Convention Name: Gen Con 2016
Start Date: 2016/08/04
End Date: 2016/08/07
Size: Massive
Turnstile Attendance Previously: 197 695
Unique Visitors Previously: 61 423
Primary Convention Focus: Tabletop Games 85%
Best-Guess % Tabletop Game Focus: 85%
Who Should Attend: Consumer
Country: United States
State/Province/etc.: Indiana
City: Indianapolis
